The Challenge

SOL Edu helps international students make the most of their life in Australia, from finding education and migration information to connecting with the community and accessing exclusive student benefits. The challenge was to bring these services together into a single, easy-to-use mobile experience that would give SOL Edu members a convenient way to access their benefits wherever they are. With a growing network of partner businesses and regular events, the app needed to make it simple for students to discover discounts, find things to do, connect with the community and access their SOL Edu membership digitally. The result needed to be more than just an information app. It needed to become a useful everyday companion for international students living and studying in Australia.

The Solution

We developed the SOL Edu mobile app as a central hub for SOL Edu’s growing student community, combining member benefits, events and digital membership functionality into one streamlined experience. The app gives members instant access to exclusive discounts from participating Australian businesses, with deals covering everything from restaurants and supermarkets to gyms and other everyday services. Location-based functionality makes it easier for users to discover relevant deals around them. We also integrated an events platform, allowing students to discover and participate in events designed to help them meet new people, explore Australia and build their social networks. A digital membership card provides members with a convenient alternative to carrying a physical card, while push notifications help SOL Edu keep users informed about new deals, events and important updates. The result is a mobile platform that extends the SOL Edu experience beyond its traditional education and migration services, helping students save money, discover new experiences and feel more connected to life in Australia.
